  • The Big Japan Heavyweight Title was created in 2001, designed to give wrestlers who didn't compete in the company's famed Death Matches a belt to fight over. Click each wrestler's name to get a list of title defenses during his reign (if there is no link for a wrestler, it means that he had no successful title defenses).

    1. (3/20/01 @ Hakata Star Lane) Kamikaze beat Zandig (5:28) with a Big Japan Special (tournament final).
    2. (1/6/02 @ Kawasaki City Gymnasium) Daikokubo Benkei beat Kamikaze (15:11) with a face chaker.
    3. (8/18/02 @ Yokohama Bunka Gymnasium) Daisuke Sekimoto beat Daikokubo Benkei (15:00) with a moonsault press.
    4. (9/23/02 @ Tokyo Differ Ariake) MEN's Teioh beat Daisuke Sekimoto (19:27) with a running elbow smash.
