[Complete Results]
"EXCITING BATTLE IN NAEBA 2000" saw New Japan return to the Prince Hotel Event Hall in the popular ski resort of Naeba. Although the wrestlers enjoyed skiing while there, they also produced two pro wrestling shows before visitors to the area.
Points of note:
(3/24) In an unfortunate incident, one of Jushin Thunder Liger's prized costumes was stolen after his match, in which he and Kashin defeated El Samurai & Makabe. Luckily, Liger took a second costume with him, allowing him to wrestle the following day.
(3/24) In the first of two matches that mixed heavyweights with junior heavyweights, Iizuka & Nakanishi defeated Nagata & Takaiwa, Nakanishi submitting the junior, Takaiwa, with an Argentine backbreaker.
(3/24) The second match following the pattern of mixing weight classes saw junior stars, Kanemoto and Otani, team with Kensuke and Koshinaka against the T2000 foursome of Chono, Tenzan, Kojima & Hiro. Once again, a heavyweight would sink a junior, Kojima lariating Kanemoto.
(3/25) A big main event for the second half of the Naeba double header saw Chono, Tenzan & Kojima again win for T2000, defeating Kensuke, Nakanishi & Nagata when Chono used an STF on Nagata. Nagata again declared his plans to form a new army soon, which would include the returning Yutaka Yoshie.
