Little more than three months into his career, young lion Tetsuya Naito was rewarded with a trial series for his fast progress in opening matches. The gifted, highly athletic youngster was given five respected junior heavyweight veterans as his opponents in September, 2006. Although beaten convincingly in each match, Naito learned many new things and said after his final match that the series would help him grow as a wrestler.
