  • On the annual 12/23 Tokyo Korakuen Hall show in 2002, a special one night junior heavyweight tag tournament took place, featuring eight of New Japan's top juniors. The concept was that teams were drawn at random on the night, and given recent alignment changes, which saw a Liger, Kanemoto, Samurai & Gedo vs. Heat, Kakihara, Naruse & Tiger Mask feud erupt days earlier, anything could happen. The two enemy teams showed a lack of cooperation that resulted in their early exits, leaving two balanced teams to fight it out for the prize.

Dream * Win Jr. Tag Team Tournament (12/23/02)

Semi Final: El Samurai & Gedo beat Jushin Thunder Liger & Masayuki Naruse (14:18) when Gedo used a Superfly splash on Naruse.
Semi Final: Masahito Kakihara & Tiger Mask beat Koji Kanemoto & Heat (11:51) when Tiger used a Tiger suplex hold on Heat.
Final: El Samurai & Gedo beat Masahito Kakihara & Tiger Mask (11:37) when Samurai used a chickenwing armlock on Tiger.
