didn’t even know that Guerrero and Averno teamed regularly. Wouldn’t Guerrero and Rey Buccanero be a better challenge. Cause they won the CMLL tag team titles 3 times.

  4. LG Rod

UG and Rey Bucanero and the rest of los guerreros del atlantida don’t team up anymore. They did make an appearance in 2003 though.

  5. victor sosa

UG and Averno aren’t a regular team in CMLL; in fact, their respective factions were at odds just a couple of months ago. UG has gone back and forth publicly about the Guerreros, but now that Bucanero has returned from injury, it does appear as though UG, Bucanero and Atlantis are a unit as the GDL once again. Perhaps CMLL thought Averno would make for a better match at this point because Bucanero did just come back from a knee problem.

“The newest rumour, though, is that New Japan is working on bringing in an American pro wrestling legend for the show who is “on par” with Hogan. Well, I’m not sure if anyone is on par with Hogan but there are certainly some big names out there.”

….sooo, is this Funk then who’s “on par” with hogan?

  7. PeePReeL

I guess he could be close, as Hogan’s not as celebrated of a legend in Japan as he is in America.

“Wrestle Kingdom Special 8 Man Tag Match ~The legend never rots~” Um, say what? LOL

You’ve gotta love it, the legend never rots. Oh, Japan, you’ve done it again.

  9. Joao Dinamitas

And Terry Funk’s, y’know, the first ever super-over babyface gaijin. So I guess if you stretch it in a Japanese context, it makes enough sense.

For us American, this will technically air on Sunday the 3rd right? I mean, Team 3D would HAVE TO air on the TNA live monday Impact right?

  11. kyotanahashi

    to samy

the trip from Japan and USA isnt an easy one. from japan to at least California, it’s a near 10 hour trip. and if they land somwhere in California, they would have to wait 10 hours for the next plane. until then, they have to ride 5-6 hours to orlando. so they won’t make it to the live Impact. let’s not forget the time change. unless they have special privileges for wrestlers, this is the most likely scenario as i have made plenty of oversea trips.

  12. mastermind

no samy it would still be monday the 4th it would start about 1am pacific time

  13. victor sosa

For what it’s worth, most American wrestling websites are operating under the assumption that 3D will not be at TNA’s show on 1/4.

  14. Tadoo

Does anyone know how we can watch this in the states besides waiting for a copy to get put on DVD? I’m interested in watching a live stream.

  15. Jay Cal

What an ordeal for Team 3D only to drop the titles to the Machine Gun and Giant Bernard. I don’t really watch any New Japan and only follow through this site and DVDR. But how over are Anderson and Bernard? My understanding is Devitt is very much over. I always wonder if New Japan will bring in any more gaijins.

  16. HYDRO

where is jado & gedo i want them 2 face apollo 55 4 the jr tag titles

  17. ShadowTiger

if tiger mask lose, can he not get anymore rematches? i’d prefer to see jushin liger to hold it one more time.
aslong as team 3D drops the gold to any of the 2 teams i’ll be happy. =D

  18. Cheap DVD Boxsets

Y’know I’m inclined to disagree with you on this one, I think it’s awful, but then again, different strokes for different folks!
